"Afternoon Tea in the Pool"
Once Upon a Sketch December Challenge

Hi everyone - here is my interpretation of the December Challenge over

Theme:  It's December...
Your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch
Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts

I've always loved this photograph of my mother.  We had to lift her
in and out of the pool at that stage but she always had a fantastic
sense of humour and  loved a good laugh.

We usually can't wait for the weather to get hot enough to start our
"tradition" and feel quite sad and deprived when it starts to cool down.

Beautiful Green Tara flowers were just perfect for this layout.

Stamping is so much fun and makes a background really interesting.
There is no end to the effects you can create using the stamps and
inks that are so readily available these days.

Thanks for dropping by

Page Drafts Christmas Cheer Release #17
"Merry Christmas"

Today I would like to share with you my interpretation of a
template from Emma Stafrace at her blog,
  Page Drafts  Release #17.

This is Template #17.6

I really liked this layout and I had all these gorgeous photos which
I just had to use.

Green Tara Flowers and some really spectacular 2 Crafty Chipboard
helped make the page quite special.

I think stamping always helps to make a background something
unique every single time.

Pop over to Page Drafts and have a look at their fabulous templates.

Thanks for dropping by.

Hi everyone - it's my turn over on the Green Tara Blog.
This is my first layout.

It doesn't matter what colour you need for a layout,
Green Tara has it.  I loved doing this page in beautiful, vibrant red
using several different flowers.

Stamping, distressing, inking, some more flowers and the
addition of some rather spectacular chipboard finishes this
page off perfectly.

"For You" Card

I love making cards with Green Tara products - I can really
indulge myself and "go to town".  I've used five
Ribbons on this card
I also used 4cm Heirloom and the beautiful new
Pale Green Primula.  Fitting in beautifully is one
gorgeous Mint Rose and two Skeleton Leaves.

"Get Well" Card

I've used five Ribbons and Laces on this card -
Heirloom and Primula flowers, a Cherry Blossom,
Swarovski Crystal, and two little Mini Flowers
  - such fun!!!

"Happy Birthday" Card

This colour combination has long been one of my
favourites, and once again Green Tara doesn't disappoint.
Purple and green 4.5cm Primulas, a Cherry Blossom,
some Roses and Velvet Leaves, all available in
exactly the colour you want.  The new
Silver Diamonte Trim comes by the metre
but I have cut motifs separately to embellish my card.

Thanks for dropping by - I hope I have inspired you just
a little.

CSI Case File No.48
"Best Wishes"

Hi everyone - here is my entry for Case File No.48 over at CSI

I just love this challenge - the colours are so easy to work
with and so bright and fresh.

For my Evidence I have used three things from the list.
#1. A clock
#2. A silver metallic accent
#3. Fruit accents.

I have tucked a little clock in amongst all these gorgeous
Green Tara  flowers and once again indulging my love of
fussy cutting, have included a beautiful bunch of grapes.

Fussy cutting again - I can't seem to help myself.
The bottles of wine and the grapes added a nice
little touch to this corner cluster.

This little silver corner was just perfect for this layout.

My Testimony is "recipe journaling".
Here is my recipe for a great home made wine.

My father used to make this wine and I have many fond
memories of happy times at family gatherings.

Thanks so much for dropping by

"White With 1" November Challenge
"Dream Dream Dream"

Hi everyone - today I'm sharing my entry in the November
Challenge over at White With 1

The Challenge is:

WHITE + GREEN(S) + CHEVRON PATTERN

I have added some Tim Holtz Tissue Tape and  pinwheels to compliment the
chevrons.

Stamping, more Tissue Tape, Glimmermist and brads make interesting
additions to the layout I think.

I just love these wood balloons - I've left them natural because
they look so good with the green and white.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

"Once Upon a Sketch" November Challenge
"Angel Wings"

Hi everyone - this is my layout for the November Challenge over

Theme: Anything Goes..

Yep! You read right.. No theme this month.
You are free to create a layout based
on whatever theme you like.
You can journal as little or as much
as you like, but your layout must
include SOME journalling AND the sketch below.

I turned the sketch upside down.  I think it's fun sometimes
to be just a little different if it's possible.

I love this little chippie frame from 2 Crafty Chipboard, I think it
shows off the journalling to perfection. I 've also used some  of their
sweet little flourishes too.

Green Tara's beautiful new flowers are an asset to any page.

More Green Tara flowers and velvet leaves, along with some cute
little embellishments I cut from their new Silver Diamante Trim.

I've  given it a little treatment to my chippie word
with some Gesso.  Some more Green Tara roses and lace gave me
just the delicate touch I was after.

Thank you so much for dropping by

My Green Tara DT Reveal
"Like Mother Like Daughter" and
"Timeless Beauty"

Hi everyone - this is the first page for my Green Tara post today..
Green Tara just gets better and better - new flowers and ribbons
just seem to keep on coming.

I've used one of my  favourite Green Tara ribbons here, the pink Bead Garland,
along with this beautiful new Flower Edged Organza Ribbon.
I've added some stamping to give my page a little more texture.

I love these small Heirloom Flowers and these little
 Wired Velvet Leaves too.
I've also added a bow using the Satin Edged Ribbon.

Lace has always been one of my favourite things and using it as a
frame  adds a little extra whimsy to my layout.  I made good use of
my Cuttlebug for this layout and I think these panels look quite good.

Roses and Mini Petals are so cute and 2 Crafty Chipboard
helps to display them perfectly.

'Timeless Beauty"

This layout combines two of my favourite colours,  purple and
green and of course Green Tara has everything in all the right colours.

I totally love the colours in these Green Tara flowers, they cluster
beautifully and compliment each other.

I've tucked in some Loop ribbon and Organza Rosettes,
then added a few little mini flowers and Roses and of course
the 2 Crafty Chipboard  is just perfect as always

I think this pretty Flower Edged Organza Ribbon that I have simply
inserted between my layers across the top,
really is so cute and dainty.

Thanks for dropping by.   I hope I've inspired you just a little.

"White With 1" October Challenge
"Captured"

Hi everyone - here is my take on the October Challenge over at

The challenge is:

WHITE
+
YELLOW
+
STARS

I've been waiting for just the right opportunity to use these fabulous photos.
Don' t you just love the look on his face when he had to come back?

I added some stamping and paint splashes to my background
and used gesso and ink on the fence for the texture.

I had a lot of fun with the new hexagon chippies from 2 Crafty Chipboard.

Paper rosettes cut on my Cuttlebug and some great chippie stars
perfectly finished off my layout .

Thanks for dropping by - I hope I have given you some ideas.

"Once Upon a Sketch" October Challenge
Remember the Good Times

Hi everyone - this is my layout for the October Challenge over at

The challenge is:

We would like you to create a layout based on this quote.
You can interpret it ANY way you like.
There is no wrong or right way to interpret this quote
but your layout must incorporate something from this quote
 AND the sketch below.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year and this quote
inspired me to do the page.

I've tucked a copy of the quote and my journalling tag behind the photos
to add a bit more layering to my page.

I just had to use this cute 2 Crafty Santa.  I think he adds just
the right amount of whimsy and fun associated with children
at Christmas.

Lots of lovely Green Tara flowers and some Christmas Tree garlands
upside down to make a banner.

Why not pop over to their Blog and Facebook page and check out their fabulous
product range.

Thanks so much for dropping by.
