123 December Challenge - "Love Makes The World Go Round"

Hi everyone - here is my entry in the December Challenge at 123 Challenge.  This month the challenge was - the colour marigold, the word "make" and make your own anything.  My "make your own anything" once again gave me the opportunity to play with my second love, parchment craft.  I made the doyley and the butterfly.

I really love doing the fine fiddly work in parchment craft and I've also done a lot of fussy cutting on this page

Black With 2 December Challenge - "Jingle Bells"

Hi everyone - here is my page for the December challenge over at Black With 2.  The challenge was black with red and green and a touch of gold or silver.  I had a lot of fun with some paint techniques on this one.

My favourite border punches, some flowers and a little bit of sparkle and I think it all works really well.

Black With 2 October Challenge - "Angel"

Hi everyone - here is my page for the October Challenge over at Black With 2.  The criteria was Lime and Cream on a black background.
I've sewn, splattered some paint, trimmed it with a lovely Green Tara Lace and threw on a few flowers.  I've left my chippies raw as I thought it went well with these colours and papers.

Hope you like it.
Until next time - Luv Jan xx

123 November Challenge - "Say Cheese Please"

Hi everyone -

Just finished my page for the November challenge at 123 Challenge.  The criterion was Grey, Stamping on or with something unusual and the word Please.

I indulged my love of parchment craft with this one and stamped flowers on parchment, cut them out, heat embossed, then embossed them

I also stamped flowers on acetate, cut them out, then heated them to make them curl.  Of course I had to add some bling and sparkle or it wouldn’t be me.

"Out of the Hat" November Challege - "Sweet"

Hi everyone - I've just finished my page for the November Challenge over at "Out of the Hat".  The criteria was "stripes, two different punches and make a flower".  I love my round the page Martha Stewart punches and use them all the time.  I think my "made" flowers are complimented really well with the beautiful Prima spray.

YOU ROCK MY WORLD

Hi everyone - here is my page for the October Challenge over at 123 Challenge

The criteria was Gold, the word "You" and leather or suede and lace

I cut the leather flower on my Cuttlebug and coloured a lace doyley with Glimmermist (I've said if often I know, but I really love that stuff)  The gold is in the paper and the gold rings behind the flourish

CHILDREN ARE LOVE

Hi everyone - this is my entry for the October challenge at Out of the Hat.  The challenge was to use a complimentary colour scheme (I chose purple and yellow), paper tearing and felt.

I used a Tim Holtz die and cut out this fabulous felt flower using my Cuttlebug.

123 September Challenge "The Smile on Your Face"

Hello everyone. Just like to show this layout I have just finished for the 123 Challenge Blog for September. My layout is "The Smile on Your Face Says it All". This months challenge was to use white +white space+ the word "on". I have use a stencil & Gesso which I firstly coloured before applying & added an Irredescent medium over the wet gesso while I still had the stencil in place. I wasn't sure if this would work on the wet Gesso, but guess what, it did & I am rather pleased with the result. Also did some stamping using the same stencil all around the edges to complete the theme.Lots of chippie & raw wood, cute little bears & lots of ink & all done. Hope you like it. Until next time.    Luv Jan  xx

Black With 2 August Challenge "Always Special"

Hi everyone. Welcome to my NEW Blog. This is my first post on it. Yeah!!!!  & guess what, I made a boo boo. This challenge was black background with green & NO flowers. I was having so much fun creating this layout, got it all finished & posted,  & then realised I had used a flower border punch down the side. Woops!!!!  So I went back to the drawing board, pulled it apart & redid it omitting the flower punch. SO... This is my 2nd version of the challenge  I did for  the Black With 2 blog.  I found it extremely challenging not to use flowers on such a girly page, but I think I coped quite well considering. Just to keep myself happy I managed to spread a bit of glitter & bling around.  Thanks for dropping by.
Until next time.   Luv Jan xx

"Kraft it Up" June Challenge....".I am Jan"

Hi everyone -   I haven’t used Kraft very often and I must say I really love it – you can put any colour at all with it.  I’ve also sewn around this page, something else I haven’t done much before.  Of course I’ve indulged myself as usual with my scissors!!  As well as cutting out the paper there are these fantastic  “Collections” butterflies and words.  No bling on this one but I just had to use some Glimmermist.  The Crafter’s Workshop butterfly template was the ideal thing and shows up to perfection.  W.O.W. chippies add the final touch.  Thanks once again for looking in    Luv Janxx
