Simply the Best

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by.
Today I have my 2 Crafty Chipboard Guest Designer layout  to
share with you.  2 Crafty has such a great range of products
suitable for "boy" pages.

For my background I glued some
1" Hexagons
onto the page, then sprayed two different colours of
Glimmer Mist over the lot. I painted the little
Word Bubbles
with three different metallic paints applied with sponges
to get a nice aged metal look.
The Arrows from the
Assorted Arrows Pack
have simply been painted with a lick of acrylic paont.
 I then lightly highlighted the
hexagons and the arrows with some Viva Inca Gold Paste.
I love these little Film Strips. I think they can be used in so many
different ways.  I have simply painted them with acrylic paint
and highlighted them with Inca Gold Paste.
"Simply The Best"
Another one of 2 Crafty's great titles - a coat of Gesso and black
paint and I think it looks pretty good.
Thanks again for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you
just a little.

Remember to visit 2 Crafty on FACEBOOK too.

Green Tara Design Team
April Post

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by. It's my turn over at the
Green Tara Blog.
I have used the beautiful  Mustard Damask flower as the focal
point on this page.  I also added one  4cm Heirloom Silk and
Organza Grey Blue flower which was the exact colour I needed.

I sprayed some white roses in order to  get the
matching blue I needed and added some brown
roses as well.

Green Tara laces are absolutely beautiful and I've sprayed this
off white lace to add to the page for emphasis. This cute little
Loop Trim ribbon is so delicate and pretty.

A little touch of lace and a couple of roses
added just the right finishing touch to this feature.

Trinket Box

I had so much fun decorating this little trinket box.  I started
by painting the edges then covering the box with paper.I then
added a circle of white Lace as a foundation and then simply
 built it up with flowers.

The fabulous range of Green Tara flowers  made it all so easy.

Green Tara flowers and ribbons are so very versatile.
It's really easy to create great layouts.

Guest Designer for 2 Crafty Chipboard

Hi everyone -
It's my turn again as a Guest Designer on the 2 Crafty Chipboard Blog
This month I have featured the beautiful
I applied Gesso very heavily, applied heat, then painted it white
to get this lovely textured effect.

I love  Summer Leaf Stemsthey can be used on
so many different pages.  I have inked these leaves
then applied Crackle Accents for a lovely natural effect.

Gesso applied heavily and heated creates this beautiful
textured effect.

I separated a couple of the Summer Leaf Stems, and tucked them
 into my flourish.

I painted this word, then applied a very thin coat of Gesso
to tone down the colour and create a little interesting paint
effect.

The flowers and ribbons I have used on this page are from

Thank you so much for dropping by.

2 Crafty Design Team
March Post

Hi everyone -  Today is my second post as
Guest Designer for 2 Crafty Chipboard.

I have used the absolutely beautiful  Cartia's Swirl here, thinly
coated with Gesso then painted white.

Summer Leaf Stems were inked then coated with Crackle Accents
to give a lovely mottled and realistic effect.

I separated this title to give a little more balance on the page, then
simply applied a thin coat of Gesso and paint.

The flowers and lace I have used on this page are from Green Tara.

Liebster Award

Hi everyone, exciting news to share today -.

I have been so very fortunate to have been awarded the
Liebster Award from my very good friend and scrapping
buddy, Di Garling.  Thank you so much Di.

The Liebster Award was designed to be a blog award
in the pay it forward fashion. It is awarded to blogs
that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage new
visitors to them. Once you have been nominated you award
 it to five other blogs.

The rules are: Post the award to your blog,
give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate
that have fewer than 200 followers, then leave
a comment on their blogs to let them know that
you have given them this award.

I have passed the award on to five other ladies whose work
 I admire tremendously.

Please pop over to these blogs and have a look at their beautiful work.

Thanks for dropping by.

Green Tara Design Team
February Post

Sweet Child of Mine

Hi everyone - thanks for stopping by.  Once again it's my turn
on the Green Tara Blog.  I wanted a dramatic effect on this
layout so I've used only two colours with just a little touch
 of white for emphasis.

Green Tara Heirloom, Lime Sakura and Black Satin Rosette
flowers along with some little Roses combine to make a very
pretty cluster.

This bling Flower Leaf Spray blends perfectly with my
colours.  I've separated it and tucked pieces into my
cluster.  I've also used a strip of  Flower Garland  ribbon.

My Sweet Girl

Border punching, edge distressing, stamping, inking - I had
such a lot of fun with this layout.

Green Tara's Jute Ribbon is really great for versatility - it can be
used with any colour palette.  The Paper String I've used around
the pics comes in several colours.

I just love this colour combo - Green Tara's colour range makes
it so easy to select the flowers, ribbons and trims to enhance any
layout.

The chipboard I've used on these layouts is from
2 Crafty.

Thanks so much for dropping by - I hope I've inspired you
 just a little.

Pop over to the Green Tara Blog and catch up with the fabulous
work our Design Team is presenting.

Sunday, February 17, 2013

Hi everyone - this month I was invited to be a Guest Designer
over at 2 Crafty Chipboard.  I love their chipboard so I am very
flattered.

I've used their Clock Face Frame on this page, along
and Mini Fob Watches.

I painted the pieces black and lightly inked the Mini Clock Faces
for emphasis.

Glossy Accents randomly applied to the word added another
little texture element.  I added some layers and these fabulous
Tim Holtz rosettes (these are really good for boy pages).

Pop over to the 2 Crafty Blog to see what the talented Design
Team is up to.

Thanks for dropping by.
